EASA can support you to evaluate your school’s autism provision and develop your capacity as an autism-friendly setting. We use the Autism Standards from the Autism Education Trust, which you can download for free from the Resources section of the AET website: https://www.autismeducationtrust.org.uk/resources/
Enfield’s Inclusion Handbook sets out guidance for Enfield schools on meeting the needs of all pupils and can be accessed/downloaded here: https://new.enfield.gov.uk/if/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Inclusion-Handbook-February-2019.pdf

Staff Professional Development
Staff training is a core part of the EASA offer. We deliver all the Autism Education Trust training modules for staff working in settings across the 0 – 25 age range:
Please click on the training modules above to find out more information about the courses we deliver. Visit the training tab for details of our central training programme and our bespoke CPD offer.
We hold regular drop-in surgeries for school staff at our Bell Lane site on the last Wednesday of every month from 1.00pm - 3.30pm.
Please see the below flyer for more information.
We would encourage you to consider the development needs of your school/setting and staff before seeking advice about an individual pupil. An autism friendly school with staff who know about autism can make a big difference to pupils. If you want to know more about specific strategies, measuring pupil progress or problem solving, why not come to one of our drop-in surgeries, a CPD session, or give us a ring? We will listen and do our best to help you problem-solve. If your pupil (or their peers) would benefit from knowing about the diagnosis of autism, and strategies that can help them, we can support this with the All About Me programme or peer awareness sessions. We also run PEERS sessions which are aimed at supporting young people with their social skills in a small group and circle of friends, a peer mediation intervention to promote social problem solving and inclusion. If you require one of these services please call EASA on 0208 353 4186 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Charges will apply for specialist work with individual pupils. Please see our charging policy for details.
